Who should be teaching one another?

When Paul talks about “ministry” it is never about a hierarchy but Body-of-Christ ministry, just as he does in Ephesians 4:7-15, where Christ gives grace-gifts to the Church (a) by the Spirit to function through not only the “equippers,” which are simply coaches and facilitators by definition, but especially through the “saints FOR the work of ministry to build up the Body-of-Christ . . . unto the stature of the fullness of Christ.”  Who is supposed to be the ministers to do the work?  And what is the purpose of the whole Body doing the ministry?  To “keep from being tossed around by every wind of teaching, by human cunning, by craftiness of deceitful schemes.”  This is subtly pointing at “some who desire to be teachers of the Torah Law of conditional-favor” (b), “false brothers secretly brought in, who slipped in to spy out our freedom that we have in Christ Jesus, so that they might bring us into slavery” (c), “false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them” (d), “certain people who have crept in unnoticed . . . ungodly people, who pervert the unconditional-favor-of-grace of our God into sensuality and deny our Master and Lord, Jesus Christ” (e).  And we know many of them were also “in it for the money” – not at all my motivation because I have a job – see Donations. <Notes> a) v. 4:7-8, b) 1 Timothy 1:7, c) Galatians 2:4, d) 2 Peter 2:1, e) Jude 1:4.

Now in Ephesians 4:15 Paul says that the Body-of-Christ “saints” should be the ones “speaking the truth in/by/with unconditional-love,” but this has absolutely nothing to do about “lovingly being honest with people,” which is just another “wind of doctrine” that has “tossed people about,” because in context it has to the with “the unity of The-trusting-relying-Faith” (a) and “The unconditional-Love” (b) that are always linked together in the NT, because they are the only 2 commandments of the New Covenant!  “The Truth” is always Jesus Christ, His Spirit, and His logos gospel message about Himself.  Do you see how false teaching gets started – taking verses out of context? <Notes> a) Ephesians 4:13, b) Ephesians 4:15-16.

So, if you are a Spirit-kind-of person, then please add your comments in this website – they are vitally important!  We absolutely need each other to sharpen each other’s revelations from the Lord to build the Church up and grow up into the fullness of God (a).  That’s what Paul proseuchomai conversationally-prays for Christians to experience! <Notes> a) Ephesians 3:14-19.

But Jesus says, “be wise as serpents” for a good reason as you minister (a)!  I wouldn’t even bother “casting your pearls to the pigs, lest they trample them underfoot and turn to attack you” (b), because again “the natural man absolutely in fact does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is in fact not able to understand them because they are Spirit-kind-of discerned” (c) – see New Covenant Ways – BT16.  You are wasting your breath! <Notes> a) Matthew 10:16, b) Matthew 7:6, c) 1 Corinthians 2:14.

As a Christian musician, what do you think your role as an “equipper” is and as a “saint doing the work of ministry?”
