The only 2 New Testament commandments aren't found in the Old Testament

The New Covenant Ways don’t include anything from the Old Covenant and are Superior:

Jesus taught that the old covenant’s “way” of doing things just wasn’t going to work under the completely-different-in-kind New (b) Covenant, despite many modern churches’ obsession with Old Testament commandments and practices.  Jesus said that fasting, a very established Jewish tradition not even commanded in the Law, no longer was something He nor His disciples would practice, except when they naturally mourned His death (a).  Why?  Because the “New (b) Wine” of the Holy Spirit just wouldn’t be contained or restrained by the “old wineskins” any more than a “new patch” will “stay put” when sewn on an old garment.  We have to be willing to surrender by “letting go and letting God” of our human traditions, even those taught by our churches, if we want to benefit from the New Covenant’s Ways. <Notes> a) Matthew 9:14-17; Mark 2:18-22; Luke 5:33-38.  Whether that was a tradition is irrelevant because who would want to eat much after watch The Passion of the Christ, b) chadash, kainos: fresh, completely different-in-kind, unprecedented, sharing nothing with its predecessors, unique, and superior.

Paul included fasting and asceticism as the stoicheion “rudimental, elementary principles” common to all religions that come from the “elemental spirits” (a).  In the most reliable Greek manuscripts there is no mention of fasting except in the earliest stages of the Jewish Church (b).  All other references were added into the later manuscripts by monks who followed the Catholic Church’s teaching of it – more “traditions of men!”  We can actually see the “and fasting” addition in the margins that was then added to the text of later copies!  There are many other teachings from demons other than marriage prohibition, fasting, and dietary laws that are ruling every aspect of this world (c), all of their religions, most of their music industries, and sadly many churches are buying into it “hook, line, and sinker” instead of akouo listening to the prophetic rhema words of the Lord!  This borrowing from the old covenant or the world is what build The Great Wall quenching the Holy Spirit in churches! <Notes> a) Colossians 2:8, 16-18, 20-23, b) Acts 13:2-3, 14:23, c) Colossians 2:8.

Jesus would say the same thing about churches today that He said to the Jews:  “For the sake of (or to hold onto) your traditions you have made void (or left behind) the commandment of God” (a).  Now under the completely-different-in-kind New Covenant, many churches have done this to its only 2 commandments that have nothing to do with “Loving God with all your heart . . . and loving your neighbor as yourself!”  Most likely Paul would also have to say to some churches:  “Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from The Trusting-Relying-Faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teaching from demons through . . . liars . . . who forbid marriage (b) and require abstinence from foods (c) that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who have trusting-relying-faith and/coupled have already [with ongoing results] genuinely, experientially, relationally epiginosko known The Truth” (d).  <Notes> a) Matthew 15:6; Mark 7:8, b) the Catholic Church, Eastern Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Oriental Orthodox, c) Trappist monks, Franciscans, Benedictines, Carthusians, Cistercians, Seventh-day Adventists, meat-free celebrations of Lent by Anglicans, Catholics, Lutherans, Methodists, and Orthodox denominations, d) 1 Timothy 4:1-3.
